A time for rest and a breathtaking view of the gorge

A family fruit garden, initially conceived as a side project, just to make use of the space. The garden is not large—less than an acre. The first trees were planted in the autumn of 2017. For several years now, we have been harvesting fruit (when the birds are not too hungry and don't feast on our crop). We currently have apples, pears, quinces, plums, medlars, and a few other things. There are about 70 trees, but even more varieties—over 35 varieties of pears, almost as many apples, 7-8 varieties of plums, 4-5 varieties of quinces, and several varieties of medlars. It's a bit high up and quite secluded. If you want to try different fruit varieties that you won't find in a store, this is the place.

There is work in the garden almost all year round—from the end of January to the end of November. We're learning as we go, but we already know a thing or two. We prune, graft, mow, mulch, water with rainwater, and play hide-and-seek with the birds. If someone is interested, they can come and see what we do, get some grafts, or just take a walk. For rest, we have a little spot under the walnuts and a small house for sleeping. No one lives in the hamlet anymore. It's usually just us and the wild neighbors, or rather, the wild neighbors and us from time to time.
