The rock crown actually consists of a series of cliffs, grassy terraces and rocky gullies. From the north, Kobilini Steni is easily accessible, but from the south, the steep paths are a test for tourists. Kobilini Steni is almost inaccessible and can only be reached without special equipment through some of the gullies, but this is an extreme experience. Tourist trails surround the rock band on the left and right, but they offer great views of the cliffs. From the very edge of Kobilini Steni, the view is even more stunning. The rocks are not suitable for climbing, but they are an attractive object for photographers in all seasons. They have become an increasingly popular destination for tourists and are among the most popular places to visit in Vrachanski Balkan.
The rocky cliff that ends the southern slopes of Vrachanski Balkan attract the attention of those passing through the Iskar Gorge. The highest rocks are just below the peaks of Beglichka Mogila and Parshevitsa and extend for almost 2 kilometers. They are called Kobilini steni. Alpine pastures spread along the mountain top above the cliff. The upper edge of the cliff is between 1300 and 1400m above sea level. There are no sheep on them now, only semi-wild horses, which justify the name Kobilini steni (‘Kobilini’ means mares’).
