Rafting on the Iskar River is an interesting way to discover the beauty of the Iskar Gorge, accompanied by a pinch of adrenaline.
The difficulty of the rapids on the Iskar River in spring approaches Category 3, and in summer, it's Category 2 (the maximum difficulty category is 6). This allows anyone who wishes, regardless of age, prior training, or experience, to go rafting in the most attractive and safest part of the Iskar Gorge.
All rafting participants are required to be equipped with a life jacket, helmet, and neoprene booties. In cold and rainy weather, a neoprene wetsuit and a waterproof jacket are worn. The equipment is disinfected after each use!

The base operates seasonally from April to October. Descending trips are made in the morning and afternoon every day with a minimum of 4 registered participants.
The duration of the rafting is between an hour and a half and two hours.
Each crew is led by a qualified rafting instructor.
The base offers:
- Stationary changing rooms
- Toilets
- Summer showers
- Private secure parking
The meeting point is the Rafting Base, which is located on the border of Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park, directly opposite the Lakatnik Rocks, on the main road Sofia-Svoge-Mezdra. It is easily accessible both by car and by train (the station is a 15-minute walk away).
