The name of the place ‘Klyuch’ probably comes from its strategic location because the road to the ridge and Beglichka Mogila opens after it. According to legend, the Turks descended to the village along this path coming from Vratsa at the beginning of the Turkish occupation. The path between Ostra Mogila and Padezh is so steep in places that the horsemen rode their horses backwards so as not to fall over the animal's head. The most experienced rider rode in front, leading them, and only he sat in the saddle normally.
Dolen Klyuch Shelter is located at 1175m above sea level. ‘Klyuch’ means ‘key’ in Bulgarian. Built in 2008 by local residents. A little higher up are the areas of Sreden Klyuch (under Ostra Mogila) and Goren Klyuch. Ostra Mogila Peak 1333m above sea level is a panoramic peak in the shape of a three-sided pyramid. It offers beautiful views in all directions. The valley of the Opletnishka River (which originates from the Kozata Voda spring) is situated to the west, and the valley of the Ochinska River with the Rekata hamlet (towards the village of Ochin Dol) is to the east.
